Corporate website with headless WordPress + Astro architecture

The challenge

Electricidad Peral is an electrical services company in Ávila with over 20 years of experience. They needed a professional website that positioned their local business, showcased their 8 service lines (electrical installations, 24h repairs, LED lighting, home automation, certifications, antennas, photovoltaics and EV chargers) and captured customers via WhatsApp and phone. The project was delivered in two phases: first we built the website with WordPress and then we migrated the front-end to Astro to optimise performance, SEO, accessibility and readability for the main AI search engines.

Our solution

We built a static website with Astro (SSG) and Tailwind CSS, serving pre-rendered HTML from Nginx for maximum loading speed. WordPress remains as a headless backend for project and blog management. Local SEO is worked in depth: structured JSON-LD data (LocalBusiness with geolocation, service catalogue, embedded Google reviews and AggregateRating), Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags per page, geo tags, canonical URLs and optimised robots directives. Accessibility includes aria-labels on interactive elements, aria-expanded on the mobile menu, sr-only texts and an accessible modal dialog. Performance is optimised with Partytown for analytics, asynchronous font loading, preload of hero images and HTTP security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, CSP).
